Lindsay Corporation has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager (PM) for the Infrastructure Road Zipper Program to join the global headquarters in Omaha, NE. The PM will be responsible to work independently while interfacing and managing a highly collaborative, customer-centric team responsible to meet and exceed customer expectations in delivery of Road Zipper contracts. The PM will receive high level guidance from the Director of Global Sales Operations and the VP of Global Sales to manage delivery of Road Zipper contracts around the world. Understanding the long production times and complex solutions for multimillion-dollar opportunities, the ability to manage functional leads working within tight schedules and budgets, while being responsive to team members and customers is critical for success.   

 Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all project management, coordination and management of the project schedule, cross-functional responsibilities for sourcing, engineering, production and delivery per contract to meet and exceed customer expectations on schedule and within budget
  • Collaborates with and lead a cross-functional product delivery team including but not limited to engineering, sourcing, production, field services/operations and outside consultants and contractors
  • Lead project kick-off and planning sessions, coordinate staff and internal resources, manage project progress and adapt work as required, ensure projects meet deadlines, manage relationships with clients and stakeholders as appropriate for delivery of the project, oversee all incoming and outgoing project documentation, participate as appropriate in the tender process (i.e. design, submission and review in conjunction with applications engineering), design risk mitigation plan, conduct project reviews and create reports for executive staff, optimize and improve processes and the overall approach as appropriate,
  • Interface with sales team, including applications engineering, to help ensure traffic engineering output in both content and format is meeting client needs and best positioning the company's offering to deliver profitable business
  • Participate in industry associations to better understand customer needs, rules and regulations, and emerging trends in traffic engineering and Road Zipper solutions
  • Serve as an exemplary team player and proactively work to resolve problems and continuously improve

  • Conduct reviews and create reports for executive staff as requested

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, business or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years as a project manager in the transportation or related industry or in a similar role
  • Possess outstanding written and verbal skills
  • Possess outstanding problem-solving skills
  • Registered Professional Engineer
  • Project or Program Management Professional (PMP)
  • Accomplished professional in traffic engineering, roadway design, construction engineering/management, state bid lettings, alternative delivery methods etc.
  • Experience internationally and with other cultures helpful
  • Knowledge of or experience in manufacturing industry
