Lindsay Corporation has an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer to join the manufacturing plant in Lindsay, NE. The Project Engineer will manage project team resources, training, and develop extensive project management experience with a focus to developing automation throughout the facility. A successful leader for this role is someone that thrives on safety, equipment/process improvements, and engaging in a team environment.  This position also requires a passion for unlocking creativity, customer first innovation, and providing a foundation for savings and growth. 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Promotes safety in everyday actions and drives operational excellence while leading improvement projects.
  • Leads multiple projects from inception to completion; facilitates project planning sessions to determine the scope and objectives of each project; establish project performance goals; designs project plan, develops timeline, identifies project milestones, and tracks performance against performance goals and timeline.
  • Takes the lead in working with management teams and project stakeholders in establishing and executing improvement plans and strategies.
  • Schedule and lead all internal project meetings, including project kick-off, progress, pre-installation, and close-out, sending out updated reports to the team indicating priority projects, and progress reports.
  • Responsible for accurate and timely material procurement, documentation of tracking (vendor quotes, purchase orders, item receipts). Obtains pricing on materials and equipment, creates purchase orders, seeks out best pricing for materials.
  • Point of contact for installers/outside vendors while on job site, helping to resolve issues that may come up.
  • Develop, lead and communicate implementation of improvement actions, using a positive, engaging and motivating approach with team members (internal and external) at all levels.
  • Proactively engage with external resources to remain knowledgeable of emerging technologies, industry trends, and improvement methodologies.
  • Reacts and adapts well when re-prioritization is required. Views changing priorities with urgency and takes a constructive approach to execute them on a dynamic basis.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, or related field of study or equivalent work experience
  • 1-3 years relevant work experience in project management and continuous improvement
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Automation planning and implementation experience
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical assembly and CAD drawings.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Communicate ideas effectively and in a professional manner. Listens well and seeks clarification when necessary. Ability to communicate with a diverse group of individuals at all organizational levels
  • Background in manufacturing processes and equipment is a plus
