Lindsay Corporation has an exciting opportunity for a Health & Safety Manager to join the manufacturing plant in Lindsay, NE. As a Health and Safety Manager, you will provide facility-wide supervision in all safety areas including personal safety, safety system development, compliance, and safety training, as well as assisting in compliance strategies for these programs. You will lead all the Health and Safety (H&S) data management, processes, program development and implementation. This position will influence operational decisions about capital expansion, and modification to existing operations to support continued compliance with Corporate and regulatory agency requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage/Lead facility H&S programs including organizing and directing resources, communicating and leading facility H&S initiatives, developing and implementing facility H&S business plan and managing safety policies
  • Develop and execute health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines while driving towards a zero-injury culture.
  • Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention
  • Ensures all compliance and regulatory requirements are met
  • Evaluate practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law
  • Inspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions
  • Develop and implement (leading indicators) tracking program for first aid, near miss, and property damage and root cause analysis
  • Investigate accidents or incidents and captures data to perform deep dive analytics to implement injury prevention activities
  • Performs daily Safety Gemba walks and reports to the management team daily
  • Projects a high level of discretion and confidentiality building a highly engaged team environment
  • Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in health & Safety, Engineering or Business from an accredited institution
  • Valid qualification in occupational health and safety
  • Proven experience as┬ásafety manager; Minimum 5 years Safety experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Comprehensive understanding of Health & Safety policy, programs and safety management systems
  • Deep understanding of legal health and safety guidelines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a passion for employee engagement
  • Ability in producing reports and developing relevant policies
  • Good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office Products
