Position Description:

Lindsay Corporation has an exciting opportunity for a Barrier and Road Safety Technician for the Infrastructure division. The Barrier and Road Safety Technician will be responsible for helping supervise the barrier production operations.  This person will help supervise a group of employees on jobsites in the Northeast part of the United States to ensure the group is staying safe, building to our quality manual and being efficient with their time. Additional responsibilities will be to lead various training courses on Lindsay's road safety and road zipper products.


  • Acts as the Lindsay point of contact on job sites or barrier builds
  • Ensure that the site meets customer expectations within contract guidelines
  • Provide a positive customer experience during the deployment and ongoing relationship the contract guidelines and our safety policy's
  • Promotes safety in everyday actions and drives operational excellence while leading improvement projects
  • Ensures the Quality of the product we make meets or exceeds our quality standards
  • Communicates in a clear and precise manner with the team and our customers
  • Performs technical training sessions for up to 80 people for the customers, operators and contractors
  • Maintain barrier storage yards keep them organized
  • Exhibits Lindsay's core behaviors (One Lindsay, Building Trust, Customer first innovation, Un locking Creativity) both internal and external at all times
  • Other duties as assigned 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Requires a minimum of 2 years of Concrete and or Road construction experience
  • Experience related to Road Zipper Operations preferred
  • Prior training experience required preferably in the construction arena
  • Experience supervising or managing people  
  • Road safety or construction experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities
  • Able to count thousands of parts with a high level of accuracy

Physical Requirements:

  • Repetitive heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Long periods of standing, stooping, bending, and climbing
  • Exposure to different elements including; heat, cold, wet and dry conditions, excessive noise and various types of chemicals used in a shop
  • 50 to 70% travel
