We are currently looking for a motivated individual to join us at our Lindsay, NE manufacturing plant as a Human Resources Specialist. This is an opportunity for someone to bring their knowledge and experience in human resources to a large plant environment, where you will be expected to drive process improvement, employee engagement, quality staffing while managing the day to day needs of a busy department.  Responsibilities:

  • Lead in administering a variety of Human Resources functions
  • Participate in plant recruitment initiatives
  • Support the new hire orientation and training
  • Assist with annual benefits enrollment
  • Self-motivated and ability to work with limited supervision.
  • Partner with corporate HR in building and improving HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems
  • Work to build and maintain good relations with employees at all levels in the organization, including cross-functional departments – answering questions and directing employees as appropriate
  • Candidates must be able to demonstrate strong customer service skills. The ability to manage competing demands and priorities is a critical component of the position, along with the ability to work independently and function effectively as part of a dynamic collaborative team.
  • Ability to work in a change-filled environment and manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions
  • Affect change by looking outside of the box for creative solutions, new processes and rebalancing of priorities
  • Direct the planning and coordinating events such as company picnics and roundtables as well as other employee relations initiatives

 Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources and/or 1-2 year of experience in an HR role
  • Savvy with Microsoft Office and web-based applications
  • Detail orientation and ability to work with and review data with a high degree of accuracy
  • Curiosity and a drive to build relationships, improve processes, and implement efficiencies
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining a global view of corporate HR priorities
  • Experience working with Applicant Tracking and/or HRIS systems preferred
  • Ability to travel occasionally (1 -12x per year) to Omaha for meetings at corporate offices required
  • Ability to travel to plants outside of NE preferred but not required
  • Spanish speaking ability helpful but not required
