We are currently looking for a talented individual in the Hartland, Wisconsin market to join our Watertronics team as an Applications Engineer.  This fast-paced role will interact with the customer, sales, and engineering production team in custom design work on pump specifications.  Watertronics not only has a top-knotch product offers and reputation, but is very customer-focused. Because of this, they have had tremendous growth and are looking for a strong professional to join their team!

Expectations:

  • Determine pump station design requirements through consultation with customers and Watertronics salesmen and develop functional solutions to meet the customers needs.     
  • Prepare price proposals and CAD drawings and present to customers. Answer questions and educate customer on the scope of supply to assure expectations are accurate.           
  • Process new orders, taking ownership of the accuracy and completeness of information before forwarding to Engineering
  • Timelines and accuracy of deliverables.       
  • Work with Municipal/ treatment customers to scope and shape the solution, create quotes, enter orders, and provide clear design requirement to convey customers requirements.
  • Create proposal drawings to clearly capture the layout and dimensional features of the customer requirements. Create complete and accurate submittals.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 year technical degree
  • 5+ years quoting and working with customers to arrive at specifications for custom equipment 
  • Able to read drawings and schematics, conversant in electrical panel terminology is a plus   
  • Knowledge of power and control electrical systems, particularly motors, controls, valves and sensors        
  • Working computer skillset. Able to generate quotes using Word and Excel, with ability to generate reports       
  • Working experience using AutoCAD Mechanical or SolidWorks       
  • Experience creating proposal drawings, system site diagrams, and creating detailed documents for customer use
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal and listening)
