We are currently looking for a talented individual to join our Global Headquarters in Omaha, NE as a Technical Designer - Mechanical. As a Technical Designer - Mechanical you will provide the vital link between design theory and practical application by translating critical design concepts into workable plans for tangible, buildable mechanical end-products.   • Maintain the accuracy and security of all Design Engineering models and drawing data
  • Champion the corporate standard for design geometry creation and dimensioning protocols
  • Ensure that all designs revisions are processed per documented corporate procedures
  • Unafraid to identify, communicate, and resolve product and process faults
  • Passion to identify and meet internal customer needs
  • Loves to win, but as part of a winning team
  • Communicates concisely, in a timely fashion, and without spin
  • Pride in the quality of his/her work'makes sure it's as good as it can be
  • Accepts abrupt changes in work priorities with grace
  • Takes command of work assignments, can work with little or no supervision


  • 2 year degree in Drafting for Electrical Design, Mechanical Design or equivalent
  • Develop a universal model for lateral move layout (use for international use)
  • 5 years experience in 3D modeling and crafting 2D design drawings using SolidWorks
  • 3 years experience with modeling and drafting mechanical assemblies, electrical schematics and large assemblies
  • Experience with steel sheet metal and structural weldments a plus
  • Working knowledge of electrical panel assemblies; electrical assembly processes and electrical schematics Knowledge of metal fabrication; machining, shearing, punching, forming & welding a plus
  • Has performed PDM administration of the Engineering models and drawings
  • Technical expertise with ASME Drawing Standards
  • Proficient in Mechanical or Technical AutoCAD (Not architectural)
  • Ability to travel 10% to customer sites, supplier sites and manufacturing facility
