Electrical Engineer

Lindsay Corporation manufactures and markets irrigation equipment, primarily used in the agricultural markets which increase or stabilize crop production while conserving water, energy, and labor.  Lindsay also manufactures and markets infrastructure and road safety products. Position Description

The Electrical Engineer is an innovator and capable of developing R&D concepts into alternatives with action plans.  This person is unafraid to identify product and process faults and will work tirelessly to find superior solutions.  With a teamwork mentality, and a passion to win, the Electrical Engineer will lead projects to completion on schedule, scope, and budget.  In addition to projects, customer service must always be at the forefront of all we do.  This includes identifying and meeting customer needs plus understanding underlying customer values and pain points.

Primary Roles & Responsibilities

  • Technical project leadership effectiveness
  • Focus on product design quality management as it relates to specification, product cost, project cost, and timing
  • New technology idea generation and integration management
  • Identify and use continuous improvement techniques in engineering

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering
  • 5+ years product design and development experience in a stage gate process
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills
  • Technical expertise in electrical, controls, telemetry design, and EMC/EMI issues
  • Experience using APQP/DFSS tools (DFMEA, DVP&R, root-cause analysis, etc...)
  • Familiarity with solid modeling tools (SolidWorks) and electrical design tools
  • Clear & concise communication, without spin
  • Ability to travel 15% to customer sites & manufacturing facility
