We are currently looking for a Technical Support Specialist to join our Customer Support team. If you possess a strong technical background along with customer service skills then this is the position for you. This role will require traveling to customer locations to help with installations, training and troubleshooting as well as answer incoming calls to assist customers with technical support. Elecsys is known throughout the industry for its excellent customer service, come join our outstanding support team team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • After a training period, travel will be required to perform onsite installations, training and troubleshoot problems
  • Answer incoming calls from customers concerning technical support issues in a professional, polite, and courteous manner then provide prompt resolution
  • Follow up all requests in a timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Strong PC skills with Database Programs, MS Word, Excel.
  • Maintain diplomacy when addressing escalated matters
  • Interact with the engineering and production departments to improve product reliability
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • AA Degree in Electronics Technology or equivalent military training or experience is required.
  • Experience in the test, troubleshooting and repair of electrical and electronic circuits is preferred
  • Experience in providing technical support of IOT products preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years customer service experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of general mechanical principles and applications
  • Must be able to travel as required
  • Must be a self-starter that is persistent in meeting deadlines and working on their own
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
