These technologies require the design and development of reliable electrical controls to work according to our rigorous performance standards. Primary Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Work with engineering to design and model 2D / 3D drawings for new electronic control projects
  • Create an electrical assembly process plan
  • Maintain accuracy and security of all Design Engineering models and drawing data
  • Create update proposals and implementation planning
  • Champion the corporate standard for design geometry creation and dimensioning protocols
  • Correct current model issues by implementing design actions
  • Ensure all design revisions are processed per documented corporate procedures
  • Identify all software, hardware and training needs for the Electronic Drafting function


  • 2 Yr. Degree in Drafting for Electrical Design, Mechanical Design or equivalent experience in 3D modeling and creating 2D design drawings using SolidWorks
  • Experience with modeling and drafting electrical assemblies, electrical schematics and large assemblies.
  • Has performed PDM administration of the Engineering models and drawings
  • Technical expertise and ASME Drawing Standards
  • Proficient in Technical AutoCAD (Not architectural)
  • Ability to travel 10% to customer sites and manufacturing facility
  • Experience with steel sheet metal and structural elements is a plus
  • Working knowledge of electrical panel assemblies; electrical assembly processes and electrical schematics. Knowledge of metal fabrication; machine, shearing, punching, forming & welding a plus
