Position Description:

Lindsay Corporation is looking for a dynamic Electrical Compliance Test Technician who is customer focused and is passionate about safety of machinery. This position will report to Global Product Safety and Compliance Manager. In this position, the successful candidate will perform electrical and regulatory compliance testing on Lindsay products, both in laboratory as well as in the field, and help manage our accredited compliance laboratory. This individual will also help maintain compliance of our products to global regulatory requirements and perform extensive safety evaluation on Lindsay products to ensure customer safety.

Position Details:

This is a full-time position based out of Lindsay, NE (preferred) or Omaha, the expected number of hours 40. Travel approximately 10-20% between corporate, various manufacturing facilities and test sites.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Create, lead and perform engineering testing against product development plans and technical standards, for Electrical Safety, Electromagnetic Compatibility and usability
  • Operate the regulatory compliance testing laboratory in accordance with the Laboratory Quality System; maintain facility, test equipment and calibrations Develop new test procedures and test fixtures
  • Perform field and lab testing and resolve issues with a strong sense of urgency, accountability, and committed to timelines
  • Ensure regulatory compliance of Lindsay products to global technical requirements along with maintaining records, evidence and technical construction files
  • Perform detailed safety risk analysis, FMEA to enable risk identification and mitigation
  • Review product documentation (test reports, product listings, labels, manuals, specifications, and datasheets) to ensure continued compliance to regulatory requirements
  • Manage compliance projects with various test agencies/NRTLs, various inside and outside customers and Lindsay subsidiaries to ensure fast time to market
  • Develop a documented, systematic approach in specifying test methods, procedures and conditions for testing, validation and performance and professional report writing
  • Work independently as well as team player with all parts of the organization as necessary to complete assigned tasks

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum Associate Degree in electrical engineering or physics discipline preferred. Bachelor's degree is a plus
  • 2 to 5 years of experience, knowledge of EMC/EMI and electrical safety testing is a plus
  • Knowledge of global electrical and EMC technical requirements and standards is a big plus
  • Prior experience or capability of using a variety of test equipment, managing test lab and calibrations is a plus
  • Excellent project and time management skills, report writing and documentation
  • Good communication, self-motivated, detailed oriented, and capable of multitasking
  • Strong analytical methodology during problem solving; customer focus and result oriented skills
